The invention relates to presses with elongated grips for the press section of papermaking machines. A press with an extended clamp for the press section of papermaker is known. The support 29 is held at point 34 with the possibility of swinging by a hinge 35 pivotally connected to the frame 31 at point 36 (FIG. 2).
As the shaft 1 deviates and the bearings 4 and 5 swing, the bearings shift across the machine, i.e. the distance between them is reduced. There is also a tilt of the bearings 4 and 5 with the pivots 2 and 3. Dp coM of this displacement and tilt. the supports 28 and 29 swing so as to restore the coaxial position of the bearings 4 and 5 and to provide an offset in the direction across the machine. This movement is provided by the support 29 and the hinge 35, which also provide the possibility of a thermal pact of HE in the direction across the machine and eliminates the need to take into account the thermal expansion of the bearing housings.
The central keys 37 located in the grooves 38 position the shaft 1 in the direction of movement of the paper strip 18 and allow the bearing housings to be adjusted relative to the shaft shaft. Self-centering allows the encoders 4 and 5 of shaft 1 to have a high working capacity and eliminates reactive loads on the frame caused by misalignment.
 The bottom frame 11 is mounted by a lever 40 fixed at point 39 and a lever 41 fixed by point hinged at point 39.
